Mr. Jones studied composition at the Peabody Conservatory where he was a student of Nicholas Maw. He has also studied at the Bowdoin International Music festival where his teachers included Dalit Warshaw, Robert Xavier Rodriguez and Dr. Samuel Adler. His compositions have been performed in the United States and Europe at venues including the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
